Kizer Pivot Screw

Hey folks, I'm having a hard time getting my Kizer opened up. What have you used to get that pivot opened up? I can't seem to find a screwdriver wide and thin enough to fit those slots without beginning to strip them.

A 5mm Allen fits it almost perfectly. Otherwise some type of spanner that fits a Strider pivot should work.

On this model 5MM is too big. I may have to find a cheap spanner tool to pull it. Thanks for the idea.

Every Kizer I've seen a hex will fit the pivot screw.

I actually used a wide screwdriver on mine today and it worked fine. I wouldn't trust it for breaking the pivot free, but once it is freed it should be an issue.

I use a metal putty knife (the kind you use to spread Spackle when filling holes in a wall) . It is thin enough, wide enough and strong enough to work.
