OK - I have Kizer T1 - bought it on a whim - glad I did . This Knife has just about the perfect dimensions & ergonomics for my liking
The bearing system / stud deployment is very nice . Materials are pretty great - titanium & S35vn not much bad there

That said after using for a few days the blade centering [ started centered] is now off to towards the show side - I can see that putting pressure on the pivot screw [ lock side ]
brings tip back to center - so just needs to be tightened [ i guess ?]
This is where it gets a bit hinky - the hardware / torx screws just look poorly milled
and putting torx driver to test fit in doesn't give me confidence -
figure there is a 50 / 50 chance for striping the heads

What other makers out there have similar knife set up to the T1 [ can be flipper ] But offer better all around quality
CRK is a quality company but the small is a bit too small & the large ti a bit too large
ZT also good quality , but don't know of a nife with the T1 profile / size / Ergos
So ... anyone have a recommendation
Thanks

Sounds like you want an 0801ti from Zero Tolerance.

A lot of their models would probably suit you, but that one's probably the closest to your T1. You probably won't have any issues with a ZT, but if you do their warranty is top notch and you don't have to ship to China to use it. Made in USA does tend to come at a premium though.

There's also the Mini Monolock from Benchmade:

The T1 is common to have the pivot undo and become un centered. You have to add blue or purple loctite to remedy that.

Kizers are not really great knives. Just decent knives. I've got a T1 and I like it but I see many issues.

There are other good knives of better quality and just as good a slicer. Zt's while much better are not slicers.

I have a request to Santa for ZT 0220 Local shop just got a few ZT's in - felt real good in hand , that would be a work horse .
larger / heavier but impressive

Guys those zt's are rather large in comparison to the T1... Anyways

Edit:
A zt0808 or zt0450 on the other hand are closer in size

Maybe this will help? He's got two Kizers which might not be idea but other options too.

I have taken my T1 apart and had no issues with screws stripping.
I also have ZERO issues with the knife overall as it's a fantastic knife.
Like you, the knife has perfect ergo's for me too and clicks all the right boxes for me.

What is the exact Torx head size to us e on the T1 ?
I don't have a T1 but Kizer usually uses T8 and T6 for pivot and body respectively. Proceed with caution, work with the knife on a padded, non-slip surface and use quality bits like Wiha.

If it doesn't turn at first try, consider warming the hardware with a hair dryer.

Now, if you're looking for a knife similar to the T1 in simple beauty, I suggest a Spyderco Slysz Bowie...if you can still find one.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for size & tips. I have a Slysz Bowie, much wider (top to bottom ) and a little slick in the hand. Overall the Slysz is a heck if a knife
