Most of my Kizers have come in pretty sharp. The Laconico I just received brand new from BladeHQ was really dull. I didn't feel like it had much of an edge at all. Tried to shave some hair off of my arm - nada. Tried to push cut through a piece of computer paper - fail. Not ever one slice. I pulled out my small Sebenza as a sanity check and could easily shave hair of my arm and cleanly push cut through the computer papers about 5 or 6 times until I stopped.

Has anybody else seen this from the factory?

I hit it with my Spyderco Sharpmaker - diamond->medium course->fine->extra fine rods and now it is wicked sharp. Just surprised is came so dull from the factory.

Otherwise, lover the blade geometry, the smoothness opening and closing it. Didn't remember is was a liner lock but works great with little to no blade play.

I usually sharpen all my knives as soon as I get them to a polished edge. I do understand your frustration when knives come dull from the factory, it's completely unacceptable but at least the problem is fixed now. Now for the sharpened edge pictures.

After using this knife for a week, I have to say I am really impressed. Smooth flipping and closing, great grip, great blade geometry (at least to me) all at a very reasonable price. Winner!
