Got curious and ordered this Kizylar Supreme "Bloke Z" in 440C a few weeks ago.

First off, it's a BIG boy, thick, heavy and very well made. No obvious flaws in construction, and no issues after daily carry and use. Lockup is rock solid with zero play in any direction.

8.6" Open
3.75" Blade, and you can choose between AUS8, 440C or D2, Satin or Black. (I got nostalgic and chose 440C)
Full steel liners with G-10 scales, that have a great omni-directional pattern that provides a solid no-slip hold.
Dual thumb studs
Pocket clip for right hand tip up/down (non-reversible for southpaws) :(
Liner Lock
Around 7oz give or take, depending on which website you read.

Opens VERY smooth, on what appears to be white nylon bushings.

Next to a Zero Tolerance 0301 for size, like i said, BIG boy!

Well fitted liner lock.

Nice jimping on the blade and rear of the handle, combined with the G-10 scales, make this a knife that you can grip under pretty much any conditions.

Blade came razor sharp, and after a few weeks of carry and use, it still is.

Aside from the non-reversible pocket clip for us southpaws, and possibly the nylon bushings, I am very happy with this knife. Not sure the pocket clip is going to be an issue, because of it's weight, I can't see this thing riding in a pants pocket, and plan to find a belt sheath for it. Not really sure the nylon bushings are either, I would have preferred metal ones, but time will tell how they hold up.

Well built, affordable, the Russians have a winner here!

Sweet! I was unaware of these, but when I opened this thread and saw the pics I was expecting something in the ~$200 range. That these retail for less than half that is awesome. I might have to give one a try. Where did you pick up the 440C model? I'm only seeing D2 and AUS-8 at the usual places. I love AUS-8, but 440C somehow seems "right" for this knife (though I can't explain exactly why :D).

www.knifeworks.com IIRC, the 440C one is on the last page of the folders.

Did the label on your box specify 440C? The reason I ask is that many Kizlyar models seem to be offered in AUS8 and D2, and my D2 Savage fixed blade - with "D2 Steel" on the blade - came with AUS8 printed on the label. I'll go with whatever is marked on the knife itself, but I almost flew into a blind rage when first taking it out of the USPS box.

Meanwhile, the Bloke looks like an overbuilt Utilitac to me. Very interesting.

No, only gives the steel on the blade, behind one of the thumbstuds. It doesn't give the steel on the box, there is a stick on label on the bottom with the model number. Since they offer this knife in 3 different steels, my guess is they don't put it on the boxes so they don't have to print different labels???

That's not a half bad description, I have 3 Utilitacs, and it does kinda remind you of them, just on massive doses of steroids. :)

I looked into getting a Kizlyar belt sheath for this one, and contacted the US importer about it, but none of the Kizylar Supreme AMP1 or AMP2 sheaths are big enough. So far the only sheath I've got that will is the Maxpedition large folder/single magazine pouch.

Thanks to this thread I just ordered a Biker Z in 440C and D2 from the Big Jungle River site. Had been on the fence about them for a long time and seeing someone elses review of how well they are made threw me over the edge.

Bloke and Biker are still goofy names though :D

What does a few weeks of carry and use mean to you?
Nice shots, thanks for the review.

Normal day to day knife use. This one broke down a few boxes and packages, cardboard and plastic, cut various nylon cords, duct tape, zip ties, some chicken and it killed a watermelon. :)

Nothing to extreme.
