OK the sci fi freak in me grew up and bought a Bader :) Here is one based on the weapon that Worf used to dismantle Borg on the Enterprise! It is called a Meq'leth. Mine is made from 1/4in thick 5160 with burgandy G10 scales. It is 21in overall with a 13in blade. It's sweet spot is right at the bottom point out front. A real can opener :D The two arcs up front are sharp too. I added slight bevels to the guard and the rear spike but nothing that will slice the user.........got's to stay safe :D

WOW! That's a lot of steel! I'm sure it'd make any ol' Klingon prunehead proud. :D What's the weight on that beast?

I wasn't expecting to see a knife that I would like, but that has turned out not to be the case. In fact, I like it very much.

it would be difficult, for me, to have to comprehend losing the ability to thrust or stab with a knife, if needed.

I dont know what borg or megleth is but, it is definitely an interesting looking knife, and I always appreciate origionality.

The handle looks solid and so does the blade. The guard looks very protective.
I really want to try chopping something with that massive blade.

Bill,

That is a very interesting futuristic interpretation of a Kora. Despite the cosmetics, it looks like you have kept the pratical mechanics of the design right where it should be.

Well done!

I like it!

All you need to do now is etch some tasteful Klingon battle crys on it!

Nerds everywhere will line up to bid on it. (Even me.) :D
