Klotzi Wimpff folders - QC?

Have just got one of the older Wimpff Klotzi's (440C & G10 handles) which I am really disappointed with. For the price, the lock fitting is terrible - the liner met the blade only 1/2 way and a few impact tests knocked the blade loose. What happened to QC? The edge-holding isn't too hot either and softens rapidly when tested on rope.

I'm sending my folder back for replacement but for unfortunate folks like me who have to order my stuff from the US, that means at least a $15 shipping charge. What really burns me up is that for the price, I could have gotten probably 4 CRKT folders. I have the CRKT Lightfoot-designed Urban Shark which is super value for money and my current favourite carry knife.
