I'm going to Switzerland shortly and I plan to pick up a Klotzli at a good price. I had only seen them in knife magazines, but they looked great and carbon fiber is my favorite scale material. I found a local knife store and, although they didn't stock the model I'm interested in, they did have a few. I went in to get a "feel" for the general quality of the Klotzli knives. Man! Did they feel great! Perfect is the word here. They had five in stock and every single one opened and closed smoothly, and the liner lock worked completely perfectly. Best of all was that there was NO BLADE WIGGLE when in the open position. Blade wiggle in a quality knife is my "pet peeve". I had almost purchased a new "William Henry" a couple of weeks ago, which is also a first-class folder, but now I'm waiting (patiently as possible!) for the trip to the Klotzli store in Burgdorf!

Getting close!

Klotzli puts out some really fine small to medium-sized folders. Good luck with your travel and purchases.

Let us know how you did when you return. :)

My very first $100+ knife was a Klotzi Wimpff in 440C/G10. I still have it and it still functions as well as when I got it. Very well finished, smooth opening and the edge was terrific right out of the box. The only thing I didn't like about the knife was the sheath that came with it - no attachment loops or clips. Great quality but their prices are a little high IMO.
