Kme diamond stones question

Just bought a kme. How long can I expect the diamond stones to last? ( my edge pro stones wore fairly quick) and will they stay the same thickness as they wear? Or will I need to start using the compensating device?
And last but definitely not least..... why am I having such a hard time getting a burr worked up an my tips???
Reprofiled a large Sebenza and didn’t think I’d ever get the tip worked out. I’m kinda heavy handed when sharpening but not crazy heavy! And I am mindful not to round my tips.
With my edge pro I didn’t have nearly as much problem with the tips. I love this new sharpener in every way just need to figure out that one issue. Any tips advice greatly appreciated

You're probably using too much pressure if your edge pro stones didn't last. You may want to try the Venev bonded diamond stones as they will last a long time and are not affected by pressure like surface mounted diamond stones.
