Did anyone owning the KME with this accesory (KME JewelStik 1-2-3 Diamond Hone) managed not to round off the tip? Tried it a few times and while I can sharpen the recurve of the knife, when i get to the tip it's impossible not to go over the tip no matter how much you try. Maybe somebody has another way of doing this? Saw the video of "KnifeCrazy" on youtube but that dosent help much; you still round off the tip and I think it's impossible not to. I want to think this is not an unuseful accesory for which i paid 40 euros + shipping.

After talking to Ron (at the time I bought this) he said something about following an imaginary edge past the tip and do down strokes only (or something like that)... he never mentioned about using this only for the recurve part. As much as logic dictated that this has no way of working at the heel and tip of the blade I still bought it ... now im sorry.
