I talked to Ron, the owner of KME, and he's going to get us some stuff for contest giveaways.

I'll be back in the saddle soon enough, figured I'd come out swinging when I did.

Everyone better start dulling up their knives, I gots me some contests in mind, and they don't involve sharp knives.

Nope, not unless you consider testing your edge on your arm hair.

I been out using my knives quite often this summer, and doing a once a week sharpening spa. I'm hoping ya'll are doing the same.

I've had much more knife / woods time this summer than usual. I'm finally using my built up vacation time instead of hoarding it.

I've got a few neglected blades that I haven't used in a while that I'll reserve!

Goods call coming back with some good news and a contest to boot. ;)

I can wait for it. I'm wanting to get a good sharpening setup.

I've been working on my freehand skills... improvement is happening at a snails pace.
 
Great to have you back Moose! I've been trying to decide whether or not I should gear KME set up or not since I saw your post about yours. Maybe I'll win one and spend the $$$ on a 9. :D

I've had very little field time, its just tooooo HOT !!!!

although we did go tent camping before the scorcher on a remote island at a nearby lake, and for the first time we camped in a trailer last week :) I'd consider that luxury camping as I went to sleep in a bed with air conditioning... :D

looking forward to this sharpening apparatus...
 
I bought one of those KME's based on your recommendation moose, I made sure to note that I heard about it from you when I ordered.
 
Welcome Back Moose, I purchased the KME on your recommendation and could not be happier with it. I ordered the standard kit, then a week or so later I got the diamond stones also. The owner Ron sent with my package an extra stone free of charge to try out to see if I liked it and a note asking for some feedback on it. What a great guy and great product. Cant wait for the contest.
