Damascus hand made by GigiSechi ; for me, a beautifull damascus well done without little holes etc, etc. very uniform.
Composed by iron, C70, K720 and nikel; total lenghth is 335mm (about 13"), blade is 200mm (about 8") x 1/4".
Fittings are brass, handle is wengè wood + erica burl; leather sheath (3,5mm) hand sewn.

The original bar:

Really like the blade shape and materials used

I could do without the spacer but truly fantastic work and choice of materials

Thank you JParanee, but the spacer is erica burl a little typical "piece of Sardinia", the damascus is made in Sardinia and the knife (it is very probable) that will go in Sardinia :)

I like this very much. I wasn't sold on the plunge grind of the top edge but when finished it looks very nice. The treatment of the brass matches with the wenge very nicely. I'm glad you explained the spacer too as I agreed with Joe on that one but hearing the reason I am all for it.

What did you use to colour the brass? Will it rub off easily from regular use?

Thank you very much SBranson; for the brass, I use always this and a soft little brush, regards from Venice :)
