I'm thinking of getting a small wheel attachment for the KMG. I would appreciate your opinions as to what size wheel(s) that those of you who have one use the most.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Gary,
I made my own grinders but I use the wheels in this order,
1/2" 75% of the time.
1.25" 20% the time.
4" 5% of the time.

My main machine has a 7.5" wheel and a 3.5" drive wheel that is rubber coated.
I Use the main wheel 95% of the time.
The 3.5" wheel5% the time.

I Hope this helps.

1/2" and 3/4" are the two I use the most but have several all the way to 1-1/2"

Ditto. I also replaced the bottom 2" wheel on my platen with a rubber 2" wheel and use that a ton.

I also replaced one of my platen wheels with the 2" but put mine on top.It is handy.

The 1/2" and 3/4" get used the most in my shop.

Run the small wheels at slow speeds. They can heat up, when run at higher speeds, with the rubber surface separating from the spindle with less than positive results.:(

The small wheels are a good addition to any shop.
