I was lucky enough to get one of the last Knatchets made.
I know you have seen pictures of splitting wood but I wanted to show how I found it best to feather a stick. The result is not as nice as a good sharp knife and softer wood, but this wood is very tough oak.
I have seen a few sheaths for a Knatchet that are like carrying a knife but I wanted something simple to cover the blade like a hatchet so I could throw in a pack. I contacted Noah and here is what he made.
I also thought why not have a way to clip to your belt or pack strap. He added that feature too.
Here it is on my belt. It rides nicely, and since the heavy end is secured at the top, it doesnt flop around like a heavy dangler.
