I was lucky enough to get one of the last Knatchets made.

I know you have seen pictures of splitting wood but I wanted to show how I found it best to feather a stick. The result is not as nice as a good sharp knife and softer wood, but this wood is very tough oak.

I have seen a few sheaths for a Knatchet that are like carrying a knife but I wanted something simple to cover the blade like a hatchet so I could throw in a pack. I contacted Noah and here is what he made.

I also thought why not have a way to clip to your belt or pack strap. He added that feature too.

Here it is on my belt. It rides nicely, and since the heavy end is secured at the top, it doesn’t flop around like a heavy dangler.

Nice work Noah. (and JK).

Great stuff buddy, I often use that part of my Knatchet for fuzz sticks !

Here is an video I did a while back where I use the middle portion of the blade. Makes me cringe watching it now cos of how many strikes of the ferro-rod I did before lighting the fuzz stick !:o

I think that you are being a lil selfish, I mean two knatchets. A man only needs one, send me the other one. :). I like your sheath idea also. That is the way I would want mine but maybe with a setup to mount to a shoulder strap on a pack or something like that. P.S. must be nice to be able to run around in shorts in Nov.

Thanks for the compliment. As to the weather, it is 75 deg here today, but the first two pictures are from September when I got the knatchet and the others last week when Noah sent the sheath. Noah's pretty busy so get your orders in early.

As to the other knatchet, that is John's personal knatchet which I have returned to him. Maybe he would part with it for the right price. ;)
