This is my first attempt at something aesthetically pleasing. Its O1 and amboyna with nickel pins. It needs a little more sharpening and a sheath, but it feels nice in the hand. Let me know what you think.

For a first or second knife, you make me look like a hack! That is beautiful, very nice work. Very few people can get the borders right on an overlay, even after having done it many times, and yours is one of the best I've seen. Way to go!

I would like to see the grind farther up the blade though. The nice thing about a blade that shape, as you grind toward the spine you automatically get a nice distal taper in the blade. Give it a try next time, you'll like it. ;)

Meanwhile, if you want to give this one a good home send it on over!

Thanks for sharing, can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Nice knife.Do ya' make your own sheaths? And a nail biter like me.Really like this knife.Don't own any of this style.

Way to go! Ten times better than my first (or second, or third, or 4th...) knife!

thanks for the compliments everybody,

Terry-Dodson, The handle was sanded down to 600 grit and then polished with the little polishing wheel on my dremel and some cheap polishing compound

ddavelarsen, after I was done i thought about taking the grind up higher, next time it'll happen, i am making a small drop point with the same style handle and some other changes

leatherbird, i have made one sheath so far, it came out pretty good, it's a lot of work though, i'll get on it soon, as for a nail biter... i am the worst i have seen in person, lucky you didn't see my other fingers, it's pretty bad, but i can't seem to stop, tried many times, any suggestions?

again, everybody, thanks for the compliments, your words of encouragement really help keep me going, i'll keep posting pics of my new stuff as long as you all keep doing it to give me inspiration :)
