Hey Guys,

This is my 13th knife, and my first folder of any kind. I've always been into balisongs, and had been planning to build one for a while. This one is going to replace the BM-42mc as my EDC. :D

Some Stats:
Open Length: 8" (maybe just a hair over - does not include protruding latch)
Closed Length: 4-13/16"
Blade Length: 3-3/8" Tip to Plunge (hollow-ground differentially heat-treated)
Steel: 1080 from Kelly Cupples
Handles: 6AL-4V Titanium w/ hand-bent titanium pocket clip and stainless hardware/latch
Pivots: 3/16" pivots w/ 1/4" bushings and PB washers

Below is a quick video that I took to show that it does, in fact, work.

I don't have the mad flipping skillz that some folks have... and my videography skills arent' that great either. But tell me what you think of the knife.

If you're interested in the construction process for this knife, you can see a WIP thread HERE.

Very nice looking knife, and your flipping skills are well beyond mine.

cool, man.

Hey guys... thanks for the feedback. This knife was mainly built for two purposes:

  1. To serve as a "proof-of-concept" for my design and construction processes. I've learned a number of things, and I'll do a few things differently WHEN I build my next balisong.
  2. To be a sweet-ass EDC for my right pocket. I'm excited to be carrying my own knife.
I'm heading back to fixed blades for the next few projects. I really want to build a nice Bowie or work/fighter for my grandpa... and grandma and mom need some kitchen knives. This will give my brain a chance to rest right?... except I think that my grandpa's knife will be my first frame-handle. Who knows?

*One interesting item that I just notices about the third photo above... if you look closely, you can see the blue play-doh that I used to prop the knife up. It's between the two handles. Oops... should have picked that up in post-processing.

Very nice bali. Your flipping is better than mine. I'd like to see your version of a frame lock.
