Thanks again Big John for the antler pair.

This one goes out to Tess next Tuesday for sheath work. Bolsters are copper and the bolster pin is Steve Sando mosaic. Thanks all for looking.

Another winner Rodger. You have to have some happy customers. I love the copper ;) ....Hate brass. :barf:

What steel?

I think you get a big A+

VERY nice Roger. I like the way you did the copper and stag. I promise not to put too many finger prints on it while it's here. :D

Absolutely beautiful, Roger! You are most welcome on the antler, too. You take ordinary lay around stuff and really turn it into a piece of art, fella. The copper goes perfect with that antler, and the whole knife really flows together.

Roger, you do some very clean work! Don't believe J, I really think the first thing he's going to do is run a greasy finger down both sides....... ;)

whew......nice! I think thats the best one yet.........How are you grinding the bolsters flush to the spine and finger area once peened?

VEry nice....................

BL,

I did not peen them. I rough grind the bolsters to spine with the 2 X 72 flat platen and, after getting close to spine, finish it up on the horizontal edge grinder. For the finger guard area I use a half round end mill to get it pretty close and then finish it up on the horizontal edge grinder.

Good looking as usual Roger. You certainly set high standards for yourself!!!!

Steve

RL-where did you get your horiz. edge grinder from? I was hoping a KMG with the small wheel attachment would solve this problem for me.....what do you think........?

BL,

That is the one I have (the horizontal edge grinder Rob Frink makes). I have the 3/4 and the 1 1/2 inch wheel platens for it.

Steve, did you notice that I used the mosaic pinning material you made for me?

RL

Well yes, Roger I did. (With great pride I might add!)

Nice to be a part of that blade. That's for sure. Quite the honor.

Steve
