Well, I just pulled the trigger on my 4th ESEE knife in 3 months. I ordered the ESEE-3 in desert tan. I originally wanted the 3MIL but it doesn't come in desert tan, and I had my heart set on tan. So, this is the state of my growing collection (in this order):

Izula
HEST
HEST Folder (#70 on order)
ESEE-3 desert tan
 
I have been fighting not to buy the ESEE-4 but I think that's my next purchase. I am slowly breaking down and will order one soon. The addiction is too tough to fight. I like the desert tan too. Enjoy your new knife.
 
Yeah, it was a tough decision between the 3 and 4. My final argument was that I simply couldn't picture myself carrying the 4 as an EDC. The 3 will be perfect (especially since I already EDC my HEST).

Damn this addiction.
 
I have two # 3 tans,one with a pointed pommel ,one round. They are my favorite knives for travelling light ,and cut way better than their size suggests.
I opted for the DT for better visibility in the bush,as I don't like orange.

problem is, I cant make up my mind which to take with me outfield. Should I take the 3 or the hest ?? :confused:

Yup, I can feel your pain. Which one will be my EDC? It''l be a coin toss between the HEST and the 3.

Yep, I have the bug too;
In front of me - HEST, E-4CP, Izula, 3x Arrowheads.

Incoming - E-3CP, E-6CP, Izula II, HEST Folder, Junglas and E-5.

I am blown away by the fit/finish and how sharp these come straight out of the bag.

Oh yeah, just ordered some patches of Mrs. S, and then there is the Orange/OD E-4 I am about to order for my 'user' survival rig that Martin Swinkles is making for me right now as I type this! :D

Yep, Im addicted and there aint no turning back!

You have to get the E-4 MJC7, it is one awesome blade! I can not put it down. the clip point adds a little more 'flavour' to it...
 
nice collection you have started....I just got my first ESEE, HEST, now I'm budgeting for a Junglas, and I feel like I want something with in orange slabs :) ...I can't wait to see final pics of those folders when they start coming in too!

I have been looking at the clip point but leaning to the plan in desert tan. What do think the cp adds?
 
Does 'Cool factor' count!? :)

Definately added penetration, but I liked the idea of a thinner point, and suspected that the CP would offer exactly that over the full version.

Get both!
 
I would love to get both. So many great knives, not enough money. You know how that goes. I think I will go with the 4 in the desert tan. If I go clip point I may got for it in the 3 in the future. I do like the clip point, but it somehow I like it on the 3 a little more.
