It's been months since I bought my last knife, and I even sold some back then.
I still don't feel the urge to buy anything simply because the stuff that I have does it all I need it to do.
I just reached that satiation and it's kinda the end of a hobby for me (for now at least).
But what hasn't changed is that I still like to browse knives and I still appreciate a good knife when I see one. But it made me think... is knife addiction THAT bad?
Now, hear me out.
I know plenty of guys who spent fortunes into their cars, boats and so on... and I kinda get that. But what I don't understand is this:
Spending a fortune on PC
Spending on gaming consoles
Spending real money to buy video game items and skins...
I just don't get that.
Also, if you're non smoker, not alcoholic, not doing drugs or wasting money on stuff mentioned above, you shouldn't be killing yourself over buying a knife (as long as you can afford it).
Is it a good habit?
-No
Do you need that many knives?
-No
Are knives all that special once you have them?
-No
But
Will it harm your health?
-No
Is it better than gambling?
-Yes
Is it better than substance abuse?
-Yes
Is it better than excessive gaming?
-Yes
Are there far worse addictions?
-Yes
At the end of the day if I was a parent I'd be much happier with my son owning 20 knives than crushing his keyboard over fortnite or doing drugs in some park...
