Wouldn't it be a nice idea for knifemakers to organise blade shows simaltenously across the States for the benefit of the victims of the New York terrorist attacks?

A long time ago, such an event was held to great success. It was called Band Aid.

I just read that Bruce Springsteen, Tom Hanks and others have raised funds for those folks in New York.

Proceeds from the Blade shows, SHOT shows, Gun Shows could be channelled to those families who have lost loved ones in the World Trade Center attacks.

All of us here know that knife collectors and knife makers alike are some of the nicest and most generous people around. At times like this, despite the ban on knives on all flights, bladesmen across the land have to show that they harbour no hard feelings whatsoever. In fact, their hearts are in the right place.

I, for one, would certainly like to read in the newspapers the headline: "The Kindest Cut from Knifemen to New York"
