I just bought me cricket ss, van hoy snap lock, and a rollock... now i'm thinking of getting a cigar box or something similar to put my knives, flashlights, keys, and wallets in rather then have a pile on the desk.

where do you keep your knives or edc gear?
 
all my stuff's just laying around the bedroom. heh heh. not too organized.

i make sure to keep my EDC stuff either on my nightstand or on the entertainment centre by the front door to make sure i get it together after i'm dressed or right b4 i leave home... usually includes my Calypso Jr or my Arclite, my Inova X5T-HA or my Arc AAA, plus a bottle of water and my brain meds, haha... wallet and keys too, of course.
 
The minivault and multivault are both very good storage options. There are also versions with built in alarms.

Gotta link for those vaults?

Right now I store my stuff in these plastic boxes my wife brings home from work. They hold pace makers. I'm also using a Sentry fire box.

Short term EDC storage: I dump it all in a little wooden tray on my bar for use the next day.

Long term storage: I have several foam lined cases like you could store pistols in. They seem to work well if they are a bit bulky.

My true EDC stuff is in whatever clothing I was wearing, or in the clothing I will be wearing. If I were without clothing for some reason, I set it on the table beside my bed. Of course, around the house I've got backups for most everything that I EDC anyway, so once I'm "out" of EDC mode I'm still okay. .

Just inside my bedroom door is a bookshelf that I took a small wooden drawer and glued it under one shelf it's about 12" by 8" and clothlined. My main EDC rotation sit's there with my key etc...
 
All of my knives are kept in a drawer way up near my ceiling.

The EDC knife though (Victorinox Camper) is on my 24/7. It stays under a pillow on my bed when I sleep and upon waking the first thing I do is shove it back in my pocket. Sick right? :eek: :o :eek:

A couple of years ago my wife allowed me to indulge and spring for a Gerstner Collectors Chest for my collection.

For my EDC a hand crafted that I picked-up at the Alexandria Festival of the Arts (can't remember the artists name:( but it's great quality).
 
I use the plastic bins on racks like in Target. Some might put socks in. But I find all sorts of use for them various heights, widths. Use em for watch tools, gun stuff, photo storafe.
I also have the Gerstner top and bottom and use a roll around big luggage case don't use the wheels tho. A matter of pride I think!and a knife roll when I go someplace to "show the stuff" like at the NJKCA meets :)

Knives are everywhere, drawers, shelves, pockets bags, large tupperware chests.
SHEESH!!!

I'd love to see more pics of your storage, even if in a cigar box. They make nice jewelry boxes also :)

the minivault is a little pricey.. plus i don't need a lock.. want quick access... that gertsner is wow but i don't have that much stuff to put in yet.. and tob9595 man thats one helluva nife collection you got there.
