...thought I would start us off on this.

Here are a two of several I like.

First, here is my personal "Last Chance" by Fehrman Knives in a mirror finish with a mirror finished MinuteMan. Eric's knives are nearly unmatched in quality, fit, and finish in every respect. His knives have quickly become among my absolute favorite fixed blades.

Andy, Eric's knives really look sweet!!!

Andy, how do the Fehrman knives compare to the Busse's...? I know Eric's stuff is new, but I haven't seen any extensive testing done with them. Since you've handle both companies, any insight?

I've handled just about everyone's knife...Strider, Busse, TOPS, Becker, FallKniven, Cold Steel, etc..

The Fehrman Knife, as a "production/semi-production" piece, is made as a machinist would make a knife. Every line, bevel, and radius is perfectly executed. He also uses a "cushion" between the handle slab and the full tang for reduced fatigue. While I haven't experienced the benefit of that feature yet, because I haven't used the knife for anything more than general slicing, it seems like it would work.

The use of Crucible's 3V marks an understanding about high quality materials. My knife is polished, so I can't account for the coating or blasting as standard finishes. All I know is that Fehrman Knives scream quality, quality, quality, and I believe they are priced right.

The point design is almost like an Americanized Tanto, WITH a curved belly...very unique. I like it.
