Walt sent me this picture:

These are three of his latest - and I get one of them! The rest go up for sale after getting pants from me.

However, Walt said that he was injured at work last night - broke both bones in his lower leg and may need surgery.

He could use your smoke and help.

Walt said that he was injured at work last night - broke both bones in his lower leg and may need surgery.

Very sorry to hear this. I hope you heal up quick Walt. Surgeon's knives are the only ones I want to stay away from.

Sorry to hear about your injury Walt. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

On a side note, you should be able to sit at the grinder even with a cast and turn out some knives.

Disclaimer:
The above comments were intended as humor, as I am a big fan of Walt's knives.

Thanks for the kind words, all! So far I'm in pretty good shape, just need a look-see by an orthopedic surgeon to see if I get any hardware before the cast, and then I'll be back at 'er:thumbup: Pretty clean breaks, and relatively little pain (nothing a little Advil won't handle, at least so far;)), so I got off pretty lucky. And I get a mandatory week off, so I'll get to catch up on everything I've had to miss on BF since I started this job:p

On a side note, you should be able to sit at the grinder even with a cast and turn out some knives.

Oh yeah, I'm already trying to figure out how I'm going to cover the cast with something non-flammable:cool: If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears:thumbup:

Thanks again all! And thanks TF, I really hope you like the knives as well in person as the pic:foot::D

Best wishes on the recovery Walt. Haven't seen you around here as often. I take things have been busy for you.

I like the top knife the best of the three, but they all look very nice!

Congratulations on being insured.

And having relatively little acute pain.

Heal fast, do as they say, take what they tell you to. and wrap the cast in heavy duty tin foil.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune my friend.

I wish you a speedy recovery.

PS - Those new knives look great.

Walt, that sucks! Glad to hear you're taking it so well. Leather will protect your cast just fine. (Ha! Walter wearing ass-chaps at the grinder..:p). These new three knives look terrific.
