I'm new to this forum so please be gentle.

I've been searching for a new fixed blade knife and after extensive thought I've come up with some pretty solid requirements for my selection. If anyone has some ideas for makes/models that would fulfill my parameters, please definitely post.

Knife:

Blade - Full tang Half serrated fixed blade w/ clipped point
5 to 5 1/2 inches long & 1 1/2 to 2 inches wide
1/4 to 3/8 inch spine thickness (needs to be very durable)

Handle Material - Some kind of black synthetic (non-slip when wet if possible)

Sheath:

Material - I prefer the black synthetics, but am pretty flexible in this area.

Locks/Clip - Similar to a diver's knife lock system (mandatory)

Pouch/Add. Storage - Room for a flint, mag stick, etc. (mandatory)

Beltloop/TieOff - Horizontal beltloop or convertible tieoff (mandatory)

I've been pulling my hair out trying to get all of this stuff satisfied, as you can see its almost an obsession. I finally broke down and decided it was time to ask the experts, so any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Slick

Ranger knives, Ontario will be mass producing them shortly. You can preorder now. The RD series sounds about right.

This is my most used rig. It's a Scrapyard S6 and their Nylon Sheath. I have a Leatherman Super Tool in the pouch... On a Belt it's Heavy, but I don't notice the weight in or on my Maxpedition BP...
