Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!
I currently don't have a web site but am working on one.
Buzzards gotta eat, same as worms!!!

I don't want to throw cold water on what looks like a fine cause, but:

The folder that's up for auction looks exactly like the Koval kit knife designed by Darrel Ralph, which sells for $29.99 plus handle costs. Nothing wrong with auctioning a kit knife, but it should be identified as such. I'd question putting my name on it, too, if all I did was finish it.

Well, I don't understand this very clearly. A Guild member represents a knife being auctioned as his own when it is patently not the case. When confronted with the obvious, the sponser withdraws the knife but refuses to acknowledge the reason. Then the forum administrator tells everyone to stop discussing it because its been handled.

Don't any of these gentlemen understand or care about that quaint old trait known as Integrity? Looking the other way isn't acceptable, especially on forums where trust is the only lingua franca. By refusing to address the issue directly, they allow it to reflect - poorly - on themselves.

Well it smacks of no integrity to me that is for sure...what did they think that guys who spend literally hours on the forums wouldn't notice this?

I find this not only insulting but lacking honor.

I read the thread and am really suprised that Jim is treating this the way he is. As was already said here did anyone think people who hang out on these forums wouldn't notice?I'd like to hear what DR has to say since its his knife design.
