knife availability, why are they so hard to find?

first swamp post, and i feel like i need so info.

How do the sales of swamp rat knives work? I mean is there are way to order a model from the company? do they only make certain models? Im looking for an M6 but cant seem to find any at all. were they only a short run? I just dont know a thing about swamp rat knives and would like to learn as much as I can (and hopefully find myself a mischief 6 one of these days) I was on ratknives.com and they dont even list that model. Thanks for the help

They work more or less exactly like all the other Busse brands... they make a model for a while, then they stop. And that's it...

The only way you're gonna find an M6 now is on the exchange or at one of the shows that Busse goes to. And while it's possible that it could come back into production, I don't think it's likely to ever happen...

Thanks jbob. I actually just found one, so im stoked about it. Once I finally stumbled onto the m6 it was like an answer to my prayers. I like 1/4 thick blades but always that a 6 inch model would work better than the usual 4-5. pair that with a choil and its the kind of blade I would make for myself. They done good by me on the m6 and I really hope for a revival.
