Knife Battery?

You always see alot written up about a gun battery, or a handgun battery, that would cover all your shooting needs with three to five guns. But I've never seen a knife battery mentioned. :confused:

So lets have it how many types of knives would constitute a knife battery?

Oh yeah let's hear your favorite for each type too.

I'll go first.

I'm thinking a 5 knife battery;

#1 a keychain or small sheeple friendly knife. Currently a Victorinox classic. (may get booted for the upcoming spyderco Ladybug salt.)

#2 EDC knife. Currently a Small Chris Reeve Sebenza (may get booted when the Spyderco Sage RIL hits the market.)

#3 Hunting or camp knife.....need ideas for this one I've been comtemplating a mora. (I usually use my EDC for hunting or camping, but sounds like a good excuse for a new knife.)

#4 Bug out blade, SHTF, or last resort knife. Busse Combat Skinny ASH.

#5 Sunday go to meeting knife. Something small and classy. This is another hole in my collection. I've been looking at the William Henry line, but can't convince myself to pull the trigger. They are nice, but for the pocket time it would get, they are a little expensive. I'm also thinking about a slippie for this one, the peanut gets alot of good reviews. A staghorn peanut might be ideal.

Ok so now it's your turn.

Later Grizz.

1) Spyderco Lava
2) Spyderco UKPK
3) Spyderco Para-Military
4) Buck 110
5) Spyderco T-Mag

Another area is the watersports/swimming knife in which case mine would be an Atlantic Salt

Interesting question. I have around 90 knives and I could see myself limiting my collection to 20, but of course in reality I don't need more than 5 knives. I just want more :-)

so after some thought:
#1 Victorinox Soldier or Fallkniven U2
#2 Spyderco Caly or Sage
#3 Eka Masur
#4 Fallkniven F1
#5 Spyderco Kiwi or Mcusta Take or a good laguiole with a nice handle material.

1) Emerson A100
2) Emerson CQC11 Utcom
3) Becker BK7
4) J-Siah Heavy Camp Knife
5) CS CarbonV Recon Tanto

are we limited to only 5 though?

I'll play too :D

Keychain:
I don't have a keychain style knife, but I guess I do have a leatherman micra that could go on the keychain.

EDC:
My Spyderco Military is my current EDC, recently it was my Ritter Grip 552 and my Sebenza 21.

Hunting & Camping:
Since there wasn't a specific "folding or fixed" as the camping or hunting knife, I'll stick with my Military, my EDC's tend to cover everything.

SHTF:
If the SHTF or TEOTWAWKI, I would hope to have my Strider SnG, it's a tank and it just rolls with the punches.

Formal:
My Large Sebenza 21, very formal looking knife and still sheeple friendly in appearance.

Edit: I guess you can tell I prefer folders :D

And for Sundays and wedding maybe this new MOP Elk Horn Gunstock I just picked up...

1: SAK Classic keychain knife;
2: Medium or large Stockman, SchradeUSA or Case;
3: Buck 110 for anything the Stockman might be too small for;
4: Becker BK7, camp knife & EOTWAWKI tool;
5: Himalayan Imports kukri, or a good quality machete.

Alternates:
I could replace #1 with a SAK Huntsman, and I could replace #2 with a Leatherman Charge Ti or similar; the only thing I could add would be a nice "Sunday-go-to-meetin'" knife, 3.5" or shorter. Probably a custom - gotta have something nice, even if the world is coming to an end. ;)

thx - cpr

ps - I have at least a dozen 110's or 110 clones, all over the place here. It's my go-to for just about everything.

Don't you guys know that you shouldn't abuse your knives? Knife battery...

Sorry. I was in the mood for a pun. :D

Don't any of you ever fillet fish? I'll have to think about my 5 knives, but I'm pretty sure one o them will be a Frosts or Case fillet knife from out of my kitchen drawer. One or the other of these knives gets used all the time to disassemble fish or deer for the freezer.
