i'm looking for a plain edge knife between the size and weight of a dragonfly and a delica.
The Byrd crow & benchmade mini griptilian knives fits in between, but i never handled either one. It's more for office carry in my back pants pocket with no clip. I have an old spyderco delica that does not have any liners so it is light enough, but it is a combo edge. the current delicas are a little heavy for dress pants.
I prefer Spyderco, mainly because of the hole to open the knife and I like the shape of the blade that sticks out for my thumb to grip on when it is open. any advise?

The multi colored handle knife above.

If you can find one of the discontinued Caly Jr Lightweight, that sounds about perfect for you.

A mini-grip, Delica, Sage, and Caly3 are all in the same size range.

You're basically looking for a "little big knife" or LBK. This would be the Polliwog, Lava, Meerkat, Dodo, etc knife. I like to put the "Rookie" in there too because it has a 3" blade but is a TON smaller handle wise than a Delica.

After having a Lava, Meerkat, and Dragonfly but using a Criket, Spin, and Rookie...I would look at a Rookie.

G10, 3" blade, Needle tip, 1 steel liner and only 2.2 oz's!!! It's lighter and smaller than my Cento3 with G10 and almost the same length blade.

Sal must be a wizard...

The urban as 5.56 as said. I find the urban to be a excellent fit. The urban is a litle bigger than my Dragonfly and a slightly smaller than my Delica. But what you might need is all three and then you will have the right size. More is always better with knives. Oops, my addiction is showing.
