Why don't knife companies such as ESEE,kabar,Rat and so on offer to put a new blade coating on your knife after yours wears off?Just curious.Seems to me there is a demand for it.

Once the coating is mostly worn off, most people just strip them and force a patina on as protection.

The prettiest knives are the ones that have been used. Why take the "life" out of a dependable knife by making it look brand new & untouched?

You really respect the posters here who talk highly about their "hard use" knife, yet it doesn't have one wear mark or scratch on it?

If it's a usin' knife, leave it alone.
