Knife Blade stamp question

I recently dug up an old lock blade knife. When I found it, it looked like a block of rust and mud after 2 days I now have uncovered a Damascus blade with what looks to be a Ram horn handle. On the blade is a stamp of 2 "K"s the first backwards and the second normal, there might be a blade shape between them. I'm very interested in finding out who made the knife, can anyone help me. Thanks

With out more info hard to even guess, but I would start with Kauffman & Kauffman Phila pa, or earlier they worked mostly in sterling.
