I thought this was an interesting page from a catalog.

Very cool. Thanks for posting that.

It would be nice if there was an online repository for old knife catalogs, advertisements, and price lists...

There is. Larry is building one for Camillus collectors like the one he built for Schrade collectors.

What is nice about the representations is that there are no confusing oddballs, just "old" standards. The coping blade is very often not shown in these charts. Many times the author will throw in something that their favorite firm is pushing. Also notice that they clearly differentiated pen knives with a pen blade. Later charts will sometimes list what is really a pen knife by the wrong name. Thanks for sharing.

Edit: My copy looks great on my wall. Tomorrow I'll frame it.

I think this was a late 70s catalog. I wish dates had been printed in them, but some will just have to be guessed at.

From what I have seen of the catalogs and flyers Camillus was not great at printing dates. They can sometimes be found in the lower left corner of the last 2 pages. I have a flyer from 1978 that has the same knife blade chart.
Good stuff.

Note the Can-opener marked "New Type". That design was first used in 1944 and last used in the early 1950's. It is a two piece construction.

Can you show the front cover of the catalog that has the knife blades and knife patterns? I may be able to determine the date. My first job at Camillus was working on the catalogs.
