ok, I realize that most of you here actually make your blades so I hope you will forgive this question. I have purchased a few blades from a guy on ebay and I found several online stores that sell blades. All these places act as if they make their own proprietary blades or have some company make blades specially for them but they all carry many of the same exact blades. The prices are about the same. It seems obvious to me that some company is producing these blades and selling them to others to sell. They probably deal in bulk orders. So, what company is making these blades? Until I am able to make my own blades I am stuck purchasing blades made by some company. Who is that???? Does anyone know? At his point I would like to be able to purchase several of the same kind of blade perhaps at a wholesale price. Thanks.

Nah. Most of us are knife Users, Swappers, Accumulators, and Collectors. ;) There are plenty of knife Makers here too, but they're probably not a majority. :)

Regarding those blades, it's difficult to say without seeing the specific examples. I suspect many/most are mass-produced by the thousands overseas - China, Pakistan, etc.

For example, the knife blanks sold at Atlanta Cutlery are made in India by Windlass Steelcrafts.

y'all posted in the wrong forum, didn't you.

You meant to post in the makers forum.
