Been thinking about purchasing a knife blank. One that is ready to go. Sharpen it and put a handle on it. Id like a good carbon steel blanks for this purpose. Any reccomendations?

I dont know any carbon steel, but Fallkniven makes blanks of their knives in laminated VG-10

Hi,

Scandi blanks can be found like Mora and Helle, Brusletto, and Roselli. Good plain high carbon steel blades. All they need is a handle and sheath. A quick search should set you on the path to them.

Why not try greatlakeswaterjet.com? They're members here, and have blanks available in numerous configurations. Looks like quality work.

Aren't blanks untreated/+untempered? If so then quality will be crap I'd wager. If its been heat treated and tempered (and done properly) then it should be perfect.

on ebay there are MANY camillus blanks for sale, it got a camillus\remington 440c blade for good money, have not put my hands on it yet, got a kabar d2 blank too, customs sent it back, hope to get it reshipped soon

You can get Green River blades at Crazy Crow and Track of the Wolf. Very good quality Carbon steel blades. Both have many other blades as well.
