Knife blank source

Hello,

I'm new to the forums and eventually want to make my own knives from start to finish. Given time constraints and budget, I wanted to start off by trying my hand by buying a knife blank and shaping ad finishing the scales before grinding out my own blades and messing it up with a craptacular handle. I found this site http://www.damascus-blanks.com/index.php but nbot sure about the quality of the blanks and was wondering if anyone has any prior experience with their products. I haven't really found any reviews on them.

I've never done any sort of custom work, but those blanks are just unmarked stainless. If you just want to practice handle shaping I'd say go for it at that price. If you want a useable knife at the end, I'd look elsewhere, perhaps at USAKnifeMaker. You can get blanks in premium steels at reasonable prices.
