Anyone have a source for good Damascus blanks (or above average stainless blanks for that matter)? I have found the WoodCraft ones, that are OK.
I realize this question has been asked, but I have yet to hear of a producer who has the quality/price range I would expect exists somewhere...

Made my first few knives from blanks, but have only been somewhat impressed with the price/quality. Until I get better, I want to continue using blanks.
Made a few kitchen knives that I posted on this website:

Not great knives, but turned out OK.

Jantz has some that have worked well for me. Don't know about damascus ones though.

Right now Premium Knife Supply has been selling some mass produced blades, both damascus and stainless. I'm working on a replica of the Big Bear Subhilt right now. Quality seems just fine with me. but I'm not a ABS Master.

These guys have the best selection of quality forge welded (damascus) steel I know of, http://www.alabamadamascussteel.com/servlet/StoreFront. I have not used one my self however I have inspected a couple stacks of their blanks and billets at a knife show recently. Looked good.

Please disregard the above due to more recent info concerning the quality of these blanks. They do have a lot of styles of blanks.

I've used Alabama Damascus and Two Finger Knives for damascus blanks and both were excellent. AD is high layer and TFK has more low layer but both are great steel and at a decent price.
Also you should avoid linking to a site where you're selling knives without having a maker membership.

anyone on this site sell blanks?

Yes, there are several makers that will make you a blank if you like, but that should be asked in the services offered/wanted sub-forum.

And Barnum, it is correct that you shouldn't link to a site where you are selling knives without the appropriate membership. I also noticed it appears you are offering you knives as being totally hand made and not just handled blanks. Not to be rude, but I, and several other makers, tend to frown on that. Credit should land where credit is due. But they look nice. Hopefully someone will give them a new home...

That said, TFK on ebay is a good company to deal with. I have always heard good things about them, and even pointed some interested friends that way, and they reported a positive buying experience. The knives they ultimately put handles on turned out pretty good.
