What are some knife and knife related books that I should pick up? I am looking for Bernard Levines Guide to Knives, 4th edition; and The Knife in Homespun America. I have the current Blade Price Guide, and a couple of Knives Annuals I picked up for pennies at flea markets etc. Both of Ed Fowlers books. Had the $50 Knife Shop book, but gave that away on another forum. Could anyone recommend any knife books, just for personal enrichment, not looking to become a knife maker etc. I missed out on a metallurgy book last year, it had a listing of cutlery steels in it . Lots of history books that give a lot of information about knives out there.

I've got a few I don't need anymore. One is a early edition out of print book called American Knives, by Harold Peterson. I got it around 1968ish, and it was a semi collectors piece then. Lots of old history from the colonial days onward. Chapters on civil war, the west, and and so on. Not a real thick book, but an oldie but goodie. It's yours if you want it. I've got a few other oldies too. Yours if you want them.

I just may be at the Mason Dixon show in Frederick Saturday morning, if I can manage it. I'm still on crutches, so I may not. I'll look in here in the am and check with you.

Carl.

Thank you sir, I really appreciate that. I am stuck working on my truck this weekend, and can't make it out to the knife show. What is your email address? Mine is silenthunterstudios on gmail.
