G'Day to all!
In the spare time I'm making knife boxes for knifemakers from my region. So I will try to post some of my works. Something are the similar but something are differents.

These are gift boxes for ordinary Mora knives. Made from pine, finished with two layers of Rustins Teak Oil. The Celtic design on the box top are made from pine too, with hand fretsaw, finished with two layers of Teknos Donna Black Wood Oil.

G'Day to All!

One of the recent boxes made for wonderful Ukrainian knifemaker Olexander Litvin (https://www.facebook.com/aleksandr.litvin.73), yes, I'm from Ukraine. Alexander Litvin mostly makes knives with scrimshaw images. Always I'm making pine boxes for Alexander with his logo on the box top. But this time highly figured European walnut have been choosed as a box material. So instead of scrolling knifemaker logo on the top, I've made a beer coaster with Celtic motives in addition to the knife box.
Let's view photos. The Pepsi is in the glass.

And Alexander's photos

Frankly spoken it will be unfinished and even unglued box. The first two photos - my new coffee cup coaster and my beloved Opinel onto bottom/upper decks of the box. The last photo - it is a box I'm working now, dry assembly. Outer dimensions are 424x324x70 mm, will painted black.

This is a knife box from the previous post, toned black, photo with my Opinel for the scale. Photos are unretouched.

Two knife boxes from alder, finished with 2 coats of Rustin's Teac Oil. Mora and Opinel were used as "photomodels" only.
