I am relatively new to knife collecting. I have acquired several used knives in various conditions. Can anyone recommend a cleaning kit to be used to impove the condition of the used knifes ?

I find Flitz to be very useful in cleaning up and polishing my knives. Other than that, a good sharpening system and oil is all I use. Personally, I use the sandpaper method to sharpen my blades

The Sentry Solutions kit is a decent starter.

Generally the things I use often are sharpening stones, leather strops with stropping compound, metal polish, sandpaper, and lubricant.

Lots of choices on specific brand of those, everyone has their own favorites depending on budget and what's available.

I polish rust with Scotchbrite pads and WD-40.
