I tried a search here but it was unproductive.
I'm touring France soon. I'm taking one carry on for luggage and that's it. Obviously, taking a knife is out of the question. My plan is to pick up a folding Opinel when I arrive in Paris and using it as my EDC for cutting bread, fruit, cheese, etc.
Are there knife laws that prohibit carry in France? Limits on blade length or locks? I figure Opinels are made there and marketed as a picnic knife so I should be OK. When I depart I'll just pass it along to a friend.
Anything unusual for a US citizen to know about French knife laws. Thanks.
