Is there anybody out there who can tell me something about knife carrying in Quebec and Ontario? I’m planning a trip over there and I need some suggestions for a stay without law trouble.
Thanks
Bye

Hello!

Generally speaking, across Canada don't carry autos, balisongs, gravity knives, and the like.

So, go ahead and clip your benchmade AFCK to your pocket. Go ahead and put that Spyderco Moran fixed blade on your belt. Just don't conceal anything, and don't be goofy with your knife!

I don't think there are specific laws in Ontario or Quebec, just be rational. And enjoy your stay, eh!

What he said, eh!

If a cop asks you about your blade, don't say that it's for self-defense.
Say that it's a tool.

I don't think he'll bust you if you tell him the truth, but you probably don't want a cop following you around.

Stay safe!

Gee, I can't wait til the attitude seeps down into the states that we can't be trusted with anything that could be misused as a weapon. Like, say, a shovel.

Never say your blade is for self defense
have them in plain view.. part of the blade expose would be enough... and yes clipping a folding knife to the pocket is fine. Fixed blade would probably require open carry...
There's no specific laws that I know about Ontario/Quebec.
Oh one more note... behave and dress like a normal person (read: not like a street punk).
That whould be enough to keep the cops away from your knives...
