I'm looking for a zippered knife case, at least twelve pouches or more. But this would be for folders, not fixed blades, so the pockets should be a little shalllower. I've seen some cases, but the pouches were too deep and you could barely get a slipjoint out without a struggle.

Any suggestions?

My thanks.

I saw this on the spyderco forums and its even more secure then a zipper case and holds many more :) its a pelican case with slots cut in foam for the knives to sit in

Looks at bills custom cases, they come in all sizes and you should be able to find just what you are looking for.

Have you thought about Spyderco Spyderpacs? They use velcro instead of zippers, but they are very well made, and the large one holds 30 good sized folders.

I'd say a Maxpedition Dodecapod or a Spyderpac, but i'm not certain as to if those have zippers.

Pelican makes great cases. Good construction and durable, providing a lot of protection. IIRC, most are also water tight. Lockable.
However, some may find them a bit pricey, but should last a lifetime.
The huge number of case sizes to choose from and modifiable foam inserts should fit almost any need.

Have never tried one, but every time the subject of knife storage comes up Bills Custom Case gets mentioned VERY positively. Didn't realize that he made multi-paks until I looked:
"Seven sizes of 6 Paks and seven sizes of 12 Paks are standard.
8 Paks and 10 Paks can be ordered"
Looks like he uses Velcro type closures on the multis:
"I use 1 inch Hook and Loop closures from YKK"
Since they are "custom", might be possible to get a multi-pak with zipper. Noticed he uses YKK zippers which is a good indicator of quality.

The Spyderpac is about the best-bang-for-buck I've found.
Comes in 18 & 30 sizes.
As you say, very well made.
