Knife choices

Well, I have been out of the Busse and knife world for the past year, but im coming back strong. I have picked up an ASHBM, B11, DSSF, Boss Jack, Ratmandu, and SYKCO 311 in the past month or two. My question is, I like the DSSF better then the BJ and since the DSSF fits my hand better, just like the Ratmandu fits me better, should I keep the BJ? What will the Boss Jack do that the others wont? Will it fit some roll while camping that I haven't really thought about. Was hoping to hear your thoughts on this, thanks in advance. Also, is there something im missing, I have thought of picking up a user CABS or a SOB, but I have others in that size already. Guess im just not sure where to go from here.

BTW, I normally pair a smaller knife with the larger ones, like an ESEE Izula 2, SYKCO 311, or an ESEE 3.

Toss the Boss Jack....

SOB seems incredible, but have yet to check one out. But one of those cabs looks difficult to beat.

Get em all. Sort it out later!!!!

Welcome back to the insanity! You have some solid choices there already, but...

I have to confess... I think the BS's are my favorite of all the non-ResC Busse family blades...

Here are some of my older ones from the past. Most didn't fit me well so I sold them. These are just a few pictures, and I had many that I never took pictures of. Finding what fit me well was a long journey.

I wasn't interested in an SOB until I saw the finger groove ones. I LOVE mine. I can imagine the standard variety is pretty nice too. Have you thought about a 1311?

Right now I'm obsessed with my SAR 8 paired with a SAR 3. I LOVE those 2 blades. I wish they would make a SAR 10 and/or a basic 13.

I might pick up a 1311, but I don't know if it would do any better then my B11. I still may get one some day.

I've been saying the same thing about FN's....You Know...:eek:

The SOB is the best all around knife I have ever used. Nice 90 degree edge for fire steel, 4 inch blade for skinning, carving, etc. My only beef is that is does not have a sharp point. Maybe it is just mine though. Pair the SOB with any large knife or axe and your golden.

That's purty. River-8 butt job and edge work, done by Horton?

According to Jeremy my knife was the last mod he did for a customer on a Busse knife. He may have done some for himself or close friends since then. But that what he told me when we talked on the phone

Cool. I have an original HHFSH. One of these days  I'll get it modded like that one.

I'm damn surprised no one suggested that you pick up and INFIDU, it's a ratmandu made in INFI , I have been using mine every chance I get and I love it , love it so much I have several.
Anyways you can see them on the exchange from time to time. IMHO it's you're best bet ...

Well I'm still a bit of a newbie, but I love my BJ's. That said the Boss Street is something I'm going to search for in the near future. I have a couple SOB's and they are awesome they are so good IMO I'm gonna go back for more soon ! Also the SOB's are just a phone/email away gotta love that :D

Agree on the SOB and the RatManDu - awesome knives. Like the Pork Shank a lot, too:

...and the AMS (bottom) and the MaxDuty in Elmax steel (top):

When carrying a chopper like my basic-11, i have no need for a knife in the size of the RMD or SOB, AMS or MaxDuty is more than enough - my opinion. On its own, the RMD, the SOB or the Pork Shank works fine on a daytrip.

SARSquatch? Looks rather odd, but fits the hand well. I use it more than I thought I would...Cheers.
