Alright guys how do you regularly maintain your EDC knife? What lube do you use, Full Disassemble or not, q-tips or paper towels, etc?

I do not fully disassemble on my EDC knife (BM 2750) because adjusting the pivot is a pain and I would void the warranty. I use q-tips to get the lint, dog hair, and debris out. I use FrogLube in excess to fully coat the Auto Axis lock then I work the lock a few times to get the FrogLube on the washers and springs. Best part is that it runs great afterwards and smells like peppermint! I use froglube because it's what I use on my rifle and it works well. In addition, its food safe which is VERY convenient when I need to cut some food to eat.

I am a traditional sip joint guy so disassembly is a no go, I have a cheap ultra sonic cleaner that I run my traditionals when I change out EDC's (then lube with Ballistol, (food safe and cheap) for storage). Most times I will clean the knife I am EDCing out under the sink with hot water dry it out with compressed air and oil the joints with Ballistol and call it good.

Yea it gets everything out. I don't wash them with soap especially traditionals cuz it usually causes them not to snap again for whatever reason.

I'm not sayin your wrong in doing so, we all just have different methods is all. If it's a fixed blade, ur darn right I use soap. Dawn and a ol brush. Another thing I do is soak in wd-40 and blow out with air. That is guaranteed to work every time. Makes one snap like New. Y'all need to check out coon p, nasa developed it. U can buy it at Smokey mountain knife works. I'm lucky enough to live a hour or so away from it.

I live about an hour and a half from there, I got a bottle as a throw in from a drunken knife ordering binge during the Saturday night Knife show on Direct TV... I think maybe the lady felt sorry for my credit card...... It works good, a little dab goes a long way. I am not sure if it is food safe though

Warm soapy water and a good scrubbing with an old toothbrush. I flush with plenty of water to flush out all the gunk and lint then shake it dry and set it out open for a little while to dry and allow any water to drain off. Then a quick squirt of gun oil to displace any leftover water and lube, and then a quick wipe down with a rag and qtips to remove any excess oil and back in the pocket it goes.

My Victorinox knives are gunk magnets and seem to require regular cleaning. My locking folders require very little maintenance.
