My initial impulse was to pounce on several of these, then I got to thinking, these are exactly the sort of deals a lot of the new forumites have been trying to get their hands on. I'll hold off and let the newbies have a go, but y'all best get 'em while the getting's good. ;)

That's the one I would have gone for Andy. I have a 15" 20 oz. one though and this was too close to justify it, even at the discounted price. Excellent all around knife and a perfect size. Good snag.

well, that's the one i went for. crosses fingers and all that :)

the gelbu special was also super tempty.

the seax? purty, but i'm not sure what to do with something like that.

and that BAS calls out... almost as spiffy as a AK imho, as the accessory blades that came with mine are bigger than nearly anything i've seen short of a 20+ inch blade - they mostly seem to match them to blade size, though not always, i've seen an 18" blade that has 1/2 sized karda/chakma. huh.

They look big, but I'll bet they are not as big as the ones that came with my 17.5 inch 33 ounce chandan wood handle YCS by Kumar!!!
