So I recently purchased a Strider 3/4 grind with a digicam finish and it is on it's way to me, this being said it got me thinking about blade finishes. Usually I really only go for acid washed, stonewashed and other finishes that won't show wear as much. I have owned some high polished spyderco's and a cold steel or two with the black blades that wear off fairly easily. So for this thread I have two questions; For Strider Finishes and finishes in general how does the digicam finish hold up to EDC use? Preferably I am asking the digicam use from people who have owned and used a digicam finished strider knife.

And the other question is, what are some of your favorite Finishes on production knives, both for durability or for show (name the finish and knife; preferably with pictures!).

The knife coating and blade are very useful in case off dealing with Heat Treating Process, Austempering Technology etc. This is a useful info. which give us fine ideas and results about the same.

Perhaps I'm not awake yet, but what the heck does that reply mean? !

That's what I'm wondering but it seems I'm not the only one who has recieved a cryptic reply haha.

Yeah I'm confused on that one as well. To the OP, I haven't owned a digicam Strider but I'm almost positive it isn't a coating, it's laser etching. Since the digicam models are a little on the less common side you likely won't find many that have been used enough to show heavy wear.
