Thanks for sharing the pics. Those are some serious pieces. I'm pretty familiar with most of them, but I'd like to know how you think the field pup holds up for general utility. Is the 420HC on those Nighthawks holding up ok?
 
I have actually got both of the nighthawks beyond shaving sharp which surprised the hell outa me. I was torture testing the 650 by batoning it into and through large mesquite trees which is an extremely hard wood. I am not a big fan of 420 but buck must have there heat treament down to an art. This knife has held up to the test so far without a nick in the blade. I like bigger knives so the only reason I bought the field pup was for skinning game. It is perfect for this task and this is all I use it for. It is an awesome blade and with a leather strop and a ultra fine dmt stone it is probably the sharpest knife in this picture. It is your typical Sog which means it is worth every penny and will go to hell and back and still be in on piece. I highly recomend the Sog for a small reasonably priced field knife. The Buck Nighthawks are awesome and worth way more than the going price. I liked them at first but after using the others I have come to love them more and more each day. The only thing I dont like about the nighthawk is no lanyard hole. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask away. Hope this helped.
 
then all I can say is outstanding! I have this little tiff about people who collect knives and never use them. I feel it is an insult to the makers and to the blade itself. A blade has a soul to me!
 
these are the cleaner ones my users are in a case in the truck. I buy at least 2-4 of each knife I have. There is 1 of each of these in my truck and they get used very hard.
