Do posts sometimes go missing?

I made a "Guilty Pleasures" thread yesterday, I think? and it's gone now.....

I was going to compare a newly purchased OKC SP-53 to our beloved BK-9.

I re-read through the rules, idk if I did something wrong, or is it Just me? haha
If I did wouldn't a moderator send me a private note, or something? :D
 
they may have moved it depending where you posted to like the reviews sub forum or somewhere depending on content or deleted if you put links in but go to your profile page and look under your postings you should see it there if they moved it and click your post to take you to the thread.

hope this helps ... if not ... it could be somethimg I've done before and type out a post and forgot to click on the tab open the thread or reply to the post.
 
Thanks TJS....I was planning on adding more to it after work, but then it was gone?
I'm glad I wasn't just seeing things! :/

Thanks for the head's up JJ_Colt, I was able to see in my Postings that it was "Thread Status: Removed from public view."

IDK? Ooops!

Mods might as well remove THIS one too.

you're most welcome ...

if you posted a link to a non supporting dealer site or something ... that may be why but it may be other reasons ...

if you PM a mod they can tell you why or what you need to do different to start your thread.

I was the one that deleted your thread. I just got home from the cabin, and it would have been a nightmare typing an explanation on my phone, plus, the signal there is crappy.

For one, there was no Becker content. This is a Becker forum. I know you mentioned the BK9, but there's other forums for other knives.

Also, I've been on this forum dang near daily for almost 9 years. It has been my experience here, that comparing other knives to Beckers hasn't gone over too well. If the other knife turns out to be "better", the people here generally won't like the outcome, because we're Becker fans, and we come here to the Becker forum because we like Becker knives. If the Becker turns out to be "better", we're not really here to make other knife brands look inferior. We're here because of Ethan Becker, the knives he designs, and camaraderie that goes along with it. We/I do like Becker knife reviews, however.

That said, I know we post photos of other knives such as on the Becker Haul Thread, etc. Guilty of it myself, but we're not doing comparisons, or least none that I've seen. I know I don't see everything that goes on here. We are all knife nuts here though, I do get it.

I do apologize for not being able to explain sooner, hope you understand.

Thanks for the reply Dub, I wasn't sure what I did?.....even thinking it was me, but I hadn't been drinking that day...haha.

For the record, I Really Really Really like my BK9, I wouldn't of said anything bad! :)

Very solid explanation and I appreciate it, Dubz.

I was wondering if the haul thread was out of line. I certainly don’t want to cause any issues.

I think it's okay. There's a Beckerhead folder thread somewhere as well.
 
Hmmm... I recently got a Condor K-Tact Kukri (my first Kukri type knife) and was contemplating posting a thread of my initial experience/opinions of it using my BK-9 as a control/comparison, even made a video; now I'm not so sure about it. :confused:

Would the Knife Review and Testing Forum be the appropriate forum to post such a thread?

i helped invent this Becker thing. 2000, yo?

that said, i have no reason to second guess WWWWWW or any Becker mod

though, i will say, we're a LITTLE more relaxed about content here, and i support that notion, and have fought "super mods" and such over that. not every post has to be 100% Becker Becker Becker. that's boring.

Warrior is one with us. not so much others. we have our own thing here, and barring true spambots and stuff, i fully expect our little world has our own vision, that other groups don't. we police our own. we have actually asked supers to mostly ignore us in the past. we have license and history.

so. keep it real folx. :D
