Really excellent review, many thanks for this shows all the aspects impressively.

I had an early Dragonfly but gave it away, never took to it-couldn't stand that cheap moulded clip. Good to see they've altered that.

The Robin2 interests me as I've been most impressed with the Meadowlark2 in G-10. Astonishingly good build on this knife for very reasonable money. Nice to see the flat grind on the Robin2 as well. Byrds in G-10 feel very convincing.

Hope you can do some more reviews like this, the data table was a very good inclusion!

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to say thank you for the excellent review.
I just ordered a FRN version of the Robin 2 from cutlery shoppe for $15.00. I currently edc a Grey Delica 4 FRN FFG, and wanted to try a Dragonfly, but I didn't want to spend the $$.
Now my wife can try the Robin, and if she likes it, we will get her a Dragonfly, as she thinks the Delica is a little too big for her tastes.
Thanks,
Justin

I know this is a resurrected thread, but it deserves to be. I have never paid much attention to the Byrd series but from what it looks like they are really quality knives. The DF2 is going to be my next purchase (probably in ZDP) but I would definitely consider the Byrds as gifts for non-knife people (who would likely be blown away by the quality anyhow). Thanks!

The Byrd line of knives are pretty awesome based on ones I've owned. They got gifted away to friends and family but that meant I had to buy more knives to replace em!:D

I like the Byrds, the newer FRN versions, have a sorta bi-directional texturing that hasn't always been that way, it looks much better now, and not unlike Spyderco's FRN. Very nice folders for the price.
