New to BladeForums and was wondering about thoughts on Benchmade manual Adamas v Spyderco Shaman

Welcome to BF! The Adamas and Shaman are completely different knives from very reputable manufacturers, so you won’t go wrong with either in terms of quality.
Thanks for the response! Which one is the better tactical folder?

The prices are similar but the Adamas has better steel cruwear vs s30v (there have been sprint runs of M4, etc in the shaman but none currently). I would get the Adamas unless you find a M4 Shaman.

Welcome to Blade Forums. In my opinion, tactical is a marketing term, especially when it concerns knives. As for which knife is better, that's a personal decision. Try to hold one and see which one feels better to you. The Spyderco will be slimmer and weigh less. The Benchmade may fit the hand better. You can't go wrong with either. Heck, work some overtime and buy both. Again, just my humble opinion.

I’ve never owned a Shaman but I’ve used and handled one for a while. I like it fine but I much prefer the full size Adamas for its handle feel and all-around ergos. The feeling of solidity of the Adamas is awesome. But like was mentioned , it’s got some weight to it (which I like). The mini might be worth a look if that’s a concern. So I vote Adamas.

Welcome! Both are great knives. The Adamas is over an ounce heavier, and it's Saber Grind would be better suited to very hard use (and/or abuse).
The Shaman is lighter and a more refined slicer with its Full Flat Grind. It also has 4-way clip positioning, which is welcomed by us tip-down carriers.
I also prefer the Spydie hole to the BM thumb stud for opening -- it doesn't get in the way when cutting or when sharpening the blade. Worth considering.
