i could have sworn that i saw a mesh-type shoulder rig on here somewhere that a fella had his fixed blade hung in. i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on where i could get one of these... also if someone knows the picture or thread i am talking about, please post it.

Its not mesh, but its effective; try searching for Mercharness. It really is a good way to go. Wish I'd seen the rig you're talking about, though! Good luck!

gud thanks man!

jon - yea man.. i just didnt wanna sound stupid.. i am kinda new to knife fanaticism... haha. anyways, yea man this guy had a killer mesh rig! it was nice! i wish i had thought of saving the picture! if i find something cool on google here in a sec i will post it fellas! god bless.

Hey Mesh...

Welcome to Bladeforums BTW...

In "mesh" do you mean Paracord ??

If thats what you mean,, then SpyderJon nailed it down...

Edited to Add:

All On/Scene Tactical products must pass my Q/C Standards testing and are sent to Mercop for proofing. All that pass the Mercop Armpit Testing(which is 100% BTW) are then sent to customers, Unwashed so they know they have went through the best possible testing and mercop's Personal evaluation and stamp of approval.

(Just kidding of course)
Oh boy.. there goes a good friendship)
Sorry George..:)

haha, i was just kidding.. anyways, i am thinking about carrying my CRKT 2360 in a rig like that. the rig this guy has would go perfectly with my CCW rig which now consists of: a Glock 26 subcompact 9mm in a Galco IWB ultra Deep Concealment holster, an extra 15 rounds magazine in a Don Hume holster on the left side of my belt, and now (for the time being) my CRKT 2360 sheathed and around my neck under one of my shirts. but the shoulder rig would be great for this blade. i really wanna get my hands on one... are they hard to find? or will i have to succumb to buying one online? i am very pleased with the current state of my CCW rig to which i now have a great blade. i have a benchmade 440c fecas blade, dont know the exact model of the knife, but its 4.11 and i cant carry that legally in the state of tennessee, so i went out and laid about 30 bucks on a very nice and durable CRKT 2360 fixed blade that i CAN carry.

Hey Mesh..

All kidding aside,, the Mercharness is Easily the most comfortable way to carry a small to medium sized knife,, as long as it has a suitable sheath...

All the contact infor you need for the Mercharness is right here

http://www.mnsi.net/~nbtnoel/mercop.htm

They are inexpensive at somewhere around $10.00 so they won't break the bank...

I have a half a dozen of them on knives that I wasn't carrying anymore, but do now with this rig....

Yes, I am a sweater. I have licensed the mercharness to CRKT and am also still making them myself. Just let me know what you want at www.mercop.com. Thanks Eric

eric i just got a new benchmade 160.. it came with a great neck carry sheath so i think i will be carrying it that way. though there are great hols in the sides of the sheath so i guess i could get you to make me one and wear it in a shoulder rig...

Few things I don't like about neck carry for SD. Damn hard to get a good cut from the draw. Have to go up under your shirt to get it out. If you fall to you back who knows where it will go. That is a kewl little knife though.

Mercop, I think that your rig might be just the ticket for my P3AT, also. Good stuff! (You made me smack my forehead there and go "Why didn't I think of that?")
Orders coming soon, and I'll pass this on to associates.
Regards

I've got a Mercharness and it is cool. I've carried a BM 210 and a Burke/RKK Syphon on it so far. It's easy to set up and ajdust and I hardly know it's there when I'm wearing it. Definitely recommended.

since starting this thread i have gotten better knives than the old long gone CRKT... hehe
