I made a new knife called Curator.
This model is specially created as a gift knife for police officers.
My friend sewed a magnificent sheath for this knife.
The sheath is made possible to carry the knife on the belt vertically, horizontally or in a bag without this suspension system.
The scales I made from Zirconium because I like their deep brown color.
Steel N690

What is your opinion?

Does NKVD still exist?

What does Bez prava na slavu, vo slavu derjavi mean?

Also I see no bolsters on this knife. Are you talking about the part the writing is on? Those are called handle scales.
 
Great looking and great craftmanship. However I don't know how comfortable those handle slabs are to hold. Way too featured for my taste and seem blocky.. Call me traditional!

Other than that, it is amazing.

NKVD had turned into KGB then it became FSB. It's the same organization.

NKVD had turned into KGB then it became FSB. It's the same organization.
"Without the right to glory to the glory of the state" means:
Do your duty without expecting any rewards or fame. But to do this to strengthen and prosper the country.

I always thought NKGB became the NKVD which was split into the NKGB again and the MVD, then the NKGB became became the KGB.

I don’t know the Soviets had so many secret police, it makes my head spin. 10 police to watch every 1 citizen.

Anyway I love the knife. I think the design is very cool. I kind of like the soviet era themed writing. Lol.

The names change and the essence remains the same))
a few years ago the milizia were renamed the police.

Some of those “Secret Police” wore Uniforms. It all depends on their function .. I had WWII uniforms medals etc from NKVD troops that were “blocking troops” they were blocking Soviet troops from going anywhere except towards the enemy from what I’ve read.————————————-. Great looking knife!

I would double check the veracity of the nature of those medals. The “blocking troops” as displayed in enemy at the gates are largely a myth. Stalin declared a not one step back order but this order only applied to officers, and was basically an order for them not to give up positions. The way it is portrayed in the movie where anyone who looks backwards gets mowed down and the soviets just fire machine guns into the backs of their troops is completely false. The soviet army was extremely experienced and well equipped by stalingrad.

So is the whole “two soviet sdiers get one rifle.” I read a book by a german officer who was fighting in stalingrad. The soviet troops were extremely well equipped and surrounded the germans.

I’m not talking about any move. Or the battle of Stalingrad.. ——————I referring to translated Soviet books about the medals & uniforms I was selling out of a collection. The NKVD was noted as Blocking Troops and they keep the rank in file troops in line line the SS troops did for the German army of WWII.. I will look but I’m pretty sure I’ sold the books after I sold everything else. I know that movie is a bone of contention for you already! Relax!;)

Lol Sorry.

I’m not saying there were no blocking troops. Just that they were more as you described, and less just a bunch of dudes firing machine guns into the soviet soldiers’ butts.

Not my style, at all, but I can appreciate the skill, care and attention involved in this knife.
